Matheson Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Matheson Education and Training Solutions, LLC ("Matheson," "we," "us") collects through mathesondifference.com and the Matheson Professional Center member portal, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, students, members, and instructors using our courses, certifications, community forum, and related services.

This policy does not cover the Matheson Intelligence Suite software's handling of client/patient case data you enter as a subscriber: that's governed separately by the Subscription Agreement you accept at checkout.

Account information name, email, phone, profession, job title, employer, and location, when you create an account or update your profile.

Purchase and billing information processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive confirmation of your purchase and limited billing details (like the last 4 digits of a card), not your full card number.

Course activity enrollments, progress, and certificates, managed through our learning platform provider, LearnWorlds.

Community content questions, comments, and votes you post in the member forum. You can choose to post a question anonymously; comments/answers always show your name.

Directory listing if you opt in to the Provider Directory, your name, location, services, and certifications become visible to other visitors, as described on that opt-in itself.

Interest inquiries free-text messages you submit telling us what you're interested in, so our team can follow up.

Usage and device data pages visited, general location (city/region level), and browser/device type, collected via analytics tools described below.

We use two analytics tools:

Tools like the Learning Navigator, course chat, and certification advisor send your questions and relevant course context to Anthropic (maker of Claude) to generate a response. We don't store the full back-and-forth of these conversations. If you use the Learning Navigator to build a personalized course plan, that resulting plan may be saved to your account so you can return to it later.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the categories of service providers who help us run the site and deliver your courses:

Each provider is contractually limited to using your information only to perform these services on our behalf. Email us using the contact info below if you'd like the current list of specific providers.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Matheson, our users, or the public.

If Matheson is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll require any new owner to continue honoring the commitments made in this policy for information collected before the transfer.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward in case you return. Payment and billing records are kept as required by tax and accounting law. Community posts and comments remain visible until you or an admin removes them.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these, email us using the contact info below.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our systems. No method of storing or transmitting data is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Our service providers primarily operate in and process data in the United States, so your information is transferred to and stored there even if you're located elsewhere, including in Canada, the UK, the EU, Thailand, Hong Kong, or Australia. By using the site, you understand and consent to this transfer. We rely on the security practices and data-protection commitments of these providers to safeguard your information during and after transfer.

Matheson's courses and services are intended for licensed and practicing professionals. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

We'll update the date below when we make changes to this policy. If a change is significant, we'll post a notice on the site or, for registered members, email you about it.
