This is not a recorded on-demand course: you are in the live session and can ask questions and interact as it runs. The in-person option additionally includes hands-on labs and in-room peer work.

CEES is for evaluating workplace exposure and ergonomic risk and building solutions an organization can actually implement. CRTW is for building and defending work conditioning, work hardening, transitional duty, and return-to-work programs. The two tracks share four foundation courses, so either is a reasonable entry point. Note that they overlap on October 17 and 18, so a single attendee should choose one of the two for Chicago.

No. Completing the coursework is the first requirement, not the credential. To earn CEES you submit 10 ergonomic assessment reports, of which 2 are selected for formal evaluation. To earn CRTW you submit 5 work conditioning or work hardening plans, of which 2 are selected, along with a standardized return-to-work case assessment. A Matheson instructor reviews the submission, and the certification is awarded only if it meets the criteria. The cost of your initial certification is included in the cost of the course.
